Why Hydroxyapatite?

Not all hydroxyapatite toothpastes are created equal. Just because a tube claims to contain “hydroxyapatite” doesn’t guarantee it has the same effective ingredients as others. Only nano-sized hydroxyapatite particles (approximately 50 nm) are small enough to penetrate dentin tubules and repair microscopic enamel cracks. Some brands use larger micro hydroxyapatite or even calcium carbonate coated with hydroxyapatite, which can be up to 100 times larger than the particle size proven to be effective. For optimal tooth remineralization and sensitivity relief, it’s essential to choose products with the right particle size and formulation.
